Whoever wins this election, it will not stop the polarisation and instability in the US. The policies of Trump are frightening—and opposed by the majority of Americans. If he is elected, it will take mass opposition to make them impossible to enact. If the Democrats win, there will be continued attempts to implement attacks on oppressed people and the working class. No matter the outcome on November 5th, we are still confronted with US-backed genocide in Gaza, massive inequality, attacks on immigrants and climate catastrophe.
