Carolyn Egan is with the Ontario Coalition for Abortion clinics, President of the United Steelworkers Toronto area council and a member of the International Socialists

 

Virginia Rodino is national convenor of United Against Hate in the US, national executive board member of the Asian Pacific American Labor Aliiance,  executive director of the Coalition of Labor Union Women, AFL-CIO, and a member of Marx 21 US.

 

The leak of the US Supreme court plan to overturn Roe v Wade has rocked the US and sparked dozens of protests to defend reproductive rights. The struggle for reproductive justice has a long history of cross border solidarity, an emergency rally happened in Toronto within days of the leak. 

 

Join us for this public forum to discuss the history of the struggle for abortion rights and the lessons for the movement today.
