Many heaved a sigh of relief when the threat of Poilievre, a Trumpist and far-right Freedom Convoy supporter, was defeated in the federal election. But still the Tories saw their highest vote in decades, with significant union support, and their share of the popular vote was almost neck-and-neck with the Liberals. And the NDP saw its lowest electoral support in its 62 year history. The left and progressives were disarmed by the Trump threat and driven into the arms of a neoliberal banker as the lesser evil. Now, with Carney given a mandate under an anti-Trump cover, how do we take on our own 1%?
