Capitalism is a system built on competition for profit. That competition occurs in its most brutal form in the competition between nation states. Wars and trade wars are inevitable between modern nation states. The Marxist theory of imperialism lets us understand the connection between capitalism and war and organize to end both. Join us for a study group on imperialism where we will look at the history of imperialism and how it plays out today in the genocide in Palestine and the war in Ukraine.
