Socialism. What is it? How do we get it?

Online Vancouver , BC
British Columbia CA

We live in a world of racism, pandemics, climate chaos and endless wars. All this, and so much more, is created by, and made worse by capitalism. It must be possible to build a world free of racism and oppression - where we can live in peace and in solidarity with nature.

What would that look like and how do we get there?

Socialists believe that such a world is possible only through revolution. Not simply because the 1% will not give up their power and privilege voluntarily, but because it is only though the process of collective organizing in solidarity with each other that people can defeat racism, sexism homophobia, transphobia and other oppression. It is only through the collective and democratic experience of trying to build a new world that we can we learn how to organize it when we get there.

Join us for a discussion of how the working class – the vast majority of us around the world – can defeat capitalism and build a better world. Our discussion will be based on State and Revolution by Lenin – available here:
